It's not an official SCUK Bash, but we are about to start throwing our weight behind this one as we think it's a great idea.

www.snowboardclub.co.uk/events-snowcampsbr09.html

Basically, it's a sponsored event over three days to take in as many of England's slopes as possible with all riding free and a whopper party at SNO!zone MK to close. Slopes are in three zones with more points for slopes further from MK.

People have talked about doing this before, so we're sure there's going to be a few of you up for this.

I'd think about it (with seriously unimpressive riding)

......................and then plant a load of trees at the end to offset the carbon footprint of a ton of shredders zooming around the UK in they're cars....

haha..only kidding (kind of) i was playing with autoroute the other day and the scuk open slope map to plan as many slopes from MK and back again in the time frame... leaving enough time for riding and avoiding some of the random out the way slopes that would kill to much time to get to...

one to watch i reckons..

I'm possibly interested, if we can get a decent team together. I have 3 days holiday left this year..

Kismet Hardy

EDIT: Just having a look at the slopes and it includes Wycombe summit, didn't that burn down? Confused

Yes, they mentioned they need to look at a few of the slopes and revise their list. However, the slope *is* still there, so perhaps they were thinking we'd be planning a commando raid for extra points!

So what are you thoughts on this Mr Dunx, were you thinking of getting a few SCUK'ers together and having a team or just wanting us to get our Charrrity heads on?

I'm sure there's enough people on here keen to get involved, so if you're up for it stick your name down here and see if we can't get a few teams sorted. I'm tempted myself!

Hey, Im helping plan the snowballrally, so feel free to chuck any questions my way. We are aware that the slope list needs updating, but as this is the first time, we are in the process of contacting them all and will put up a completed one shortly.

Its shapping up to be a cool event, you will get to hang out with like minded people, make new freinds, do a road trip, have a free session at Milton Keynes SNO!zone at the end, then follow that with a massive party and hopefully win some sick prizes, weve got two holidays, boards, boots, loads of boarding gear we'll worth entering just for that.

The main reason to get involved is to help raise money for snow-camp I went to france with them and a couple hundred inner city kids last winter, raising money to give them the chance to do something we all love is so worthwhile, check out there website www.snow-camp.co.uk. After watching my group of 20 running up the hill just to sideslip back down then the look on their faces after linking reds on the last day, they loved it but never dreamed they could do anything like it in their lives, this is combined with life skills lessons which they can use when they get back to the UK, for them its a once in a life time experince, which can change the course of their lifes. If I can help more kids do this by having a 3 day road trip with my mates, do a lil riding and win some cool sh1t, so be it, like i said any questions just ask. Big love Rich

The minimum sponsorship is 250 per person, hope that helps.

sounds good but im 300 miles away from MK as it is. like the sound of the under 17s one better where you start where you live and finish at MK. Any chance you'll change the rules to be the same as the under 17 version?

I'm proposing to the organisers that any slope can be used as the starting point any time on Friday. SCUK would produce the score sheets based on distance from MK and your first slope - about time I put that geography degree to use. We'll see what they think of the idea, but as participation is the name of the game, it sounds like a winner to me.
