Just to say i've wanted to go back to Banff since I left, and what better way to do a second season there than to do a course and maybe get a job! Just stick around after the course is done too, good times.
Just interested to know if anyone in here is doing this yet? Theres another 8 places or something I think .. There was when i booked anyway.

£7050 not inc flights? eek!
IF you want to be an instructor and you can afford that, all the best to you I say. It's a great job and I'm sure you'd have a great time.
I am going to Banff next season, already bought my ski pass on early bird, can't wait! I'm hoping to meet a few solid peeps and just ride with them as much as poss.
laters! |

| yea if you have already done a season there and know how it all goes down that is an incredible expensive way to go. |

If you've done a season you should be able to pass your first two CASI qualifications, (3) including your freestyle without forking out 7k+ spending. If was you, cancel it. Go out, do your level 1 early as you can, get a job, meet more people than you would on your course and do your 2 towards the end of the season and your freestyle 1 when ever really, its pretty basic sh1t.
BUNAC still have VISA's going and they usually release more in the comings months so do yourself a favour and spend the 7k on drinks for girlies. - or guys ? |

So.. SnowSkool runs a fantastic 14 week course in Banff... tis true! I run the course out in resort and so am a little biased by saying it's my favourite...but trust me, it’s great!
The course is a great way to earn your Level One and Two qualifications, as well as Roach Coach and Freestyle too (if you're a keener!) in a short space of time. The 14 weeks is enough for you to experience everything Banff and Sunshine Village has on offer for the best 3 months of the season but also allows you to get all your qualifications in one season.
So if you're looking to work as an instructor our course will qualify you to be able to qualified in time to teach in the southern hemisphere next year in Australia or New Zealand!
If you're just looking to have a jolly, improve your riding and make some great mates then SnowSkool is the way to go. With every detail of the course organised for you and 3 full time reps on hand to organise activities, social activities and trips to other hills you will have a full on, fun, productive season... and the best bit...? You won't have to work, live in cramped accommodation with randoms and only get a few hours on the hill each week!
So for 25 hours tuition per week, in one of the best resorts in the world and to experience the 'best days of your life' then BOOK ON NOW!!! Visit us at www.snowskool.co.uk |

I know the money is hefty and i'm working ridiculously hard right now, i still think its worth it .. Big groups, comfortable surroundings, improved riding (that means no sh1t habits that most people have) and the chance to do all this somewhere i know like the back of my hand is definitely the way to go. Plus i've already done my last season on a BUNAC visa. I need a decent, legitimate reason to be able to do seasons elsewhere and without the qualifications a course like this offers theres no way i'll be able to do other seasons, maybe in Canada in the future.
Plus having done seasons before i know its really not as easy as everyone thinks to build a crew like you've got Tom or most people seem to have :p but this sort of group is sort of like what everyone likes about uni, you're all forced to get along! You've all got a common interest and you're all working towards one thing.
I don't know guys i think it would be more than worth it. If i couldn't get a visa (which i CANT because i've used the BUNAC opportunity) i'd probably end up spending £7k on surviving! Accomodation doesnt come that cheap over there especially if you've got a limited number of people to share a house with. |

if you fancy saving money then have a look here
www.snowboardcoach.co.uk/10weeks.htm
Its not Canada its Bulgaria so we can do things a lot cheaper (about 3k cheaper). Its also a different qualification (BASI) but just thought I'd let you know about options.......
I've ridden both places (spent 2 winters living just outside Banff and another winter in Kicking horse.
I can't guarentee a pass on any of our courses as there needs to be a good standard but we do the training and the exams so we ill do our best to get you there......
mail/pm me if you want any more info.....
Good luck with whatever you choose...... |
