Hey there, looking to go for a season this winter and seen a few apartments on some of the smaller web sites that look good.
What i wondered is how you know that when you have paid your money and get there, their is actually an apartment waiting for you, what are the steps to getting the keys and making sure the companies are legitimate etc.
Thanks
Biz

I'd say it'd be a rare anything like that would happen.
I've been involved in season accommodation for several years now and never heard of it happening anywhere.
The biggest problem is tenants pulling out leaving you with a place to pay for and no rent coming in.
That's why almost all insist on payment up front.
Search them on the internet. If they pop up over and over again then you can be pretty sure they are trust worthy.
However there are a lot of new places pop up every year, do a great job, and then pull out when they realise how much hard work it is for very little or sometimes no profit. Just coz it's their 1st year doesn't mean you can't trust them, and to be fair, why should they trust you?
Every rental will be different depending who it's through and what your contract says. you'll need to contact each one to find out about getting keys, paying insurance, who provides linens etc.
Cool, thats preety much what i was hoping someone would say, found a place now at a good price in Champagny. Am i right in thinking its a chilled out place but with good access to some good boarding.
