Recently got back from an awesome snowboarding trip to Gulmarg, in Indian Kashmir.

If you watched Ski Sunday last week - you will have seen Ed Leigh enjoying the pow there too.

We were much luckier than Ed - the lifts were working for the vast majority of the time, and we got plenty of deep, Himalayan powder and blue skies.

If you're looking for an adventure snowboarding trip, featuring monkeys and machine guns - Gulmarg's the place to head.

You can read more about our trip and see some pictures here: Snowboarding Gulmarg Kashmir India

Read the article, looked amazing... looks like it's a bit beyond my boarding level, but this has totally gone on my list of places to go before I die.

Have been wanting to get out there for years. I imagine it's quite a trip, an adventure as you say.
Really appeals to me going somewhere that bit different, especially when the snow's so awesome and it's still so relatively undiscovered. I'll have to read your article now you've got me all excited about it again!! Smile

here is just another impression on gulmarg by jack mc cowan. in his video he shares his and his friends experience as volunteer ski instructors for kids in this remote spot that fortunately has remained an insiders tip for skiers and snowboarders.

enjoy the video and come to gulmarg to explore the runs. i will be there for my 4th season from end of december to mid march. hope to see some of you.

Gulmarg looks incredible, have many friends who've visited or done seasons there and have heard nothing but amazing things.

The first heliski company out of Gulmarg will begin operating this year too: http://www.gulmargheliski.com/

Awesome!
