hold on a god damn minute...

your pointed out his mistakes
i stated it was because he was foreign
you asked me what that had to do with it
I explained it wasn't really important that his grammar
then you had a go called me arrogant or some such sh1t....
i then responded etc etc...you mentioned your German decent and science degree to scare us off...
i could bring in my Irish relatives and woodwork GCSE but can't see that it's relevant......
It was clear he was 'foreign' and that is why i was trying to help him. If he was a native english speaker it wouldnt have been appropriate.
I pointed out 1 mistake becuase i didnt want to appear to be being critical, but helpful. I clearly did a good job of that.
You missed out the bit where you had a go at me for daring to try and be helpful to the guy.
I never said i was of German descent although i do think i and my family / friends are decent. I said i had German family and friends. Hence i know what its like for a German speaking person learning / speaking English. There are some interesting quirks.
My reference to 2 science degrees was because yellow said 'questionary' was a terms used in science. However i had never heard of it used in such a maner before despite being subjected to science based environm, ents for several years as a result of my education. Not that that means it be incorrect, but none the less interesting for me personally as i like to learn new things.
Im not sure that irish relatives are relevant either, but if you are saying my German family and friends aren't relevant when talking about a German speaker, speaking English, then im confused.
P.s. if its of any interest i have irish relatives too, and whilst i didnt do GCSE woodwork i did do GCSE Technology which included a woodwork module amongst other similar modules. But i cant see how thats relatient either.
But since we both have woodworkskills and irish relatives we should probably compare family trees. We might be related with such similarities. |
