Okay, the details of the Summer Bash are coming together, but we also have the Winter Bash on the go too.

There's a few decisions to be made by us and I guess you lot are the best placed to help us try to make them. This isn't the whole deal and it's all TBC at the moment, especially the prices!

The trip will cost between £200 and £300, I'm really not sure yet although I realise this is the biggy for most people.

The cost does include accommodation, 6 day lift ticket and resort reps/guides, but not insurance or getting there.

We assume the majority will want to fly, so might as well sort their own cheap flights. There will be an executive coach option laid on, stopping down the UK and this will be a costed extra. We can organise transfers.

Accommodation will be self-catering, but there will be a B&B option (plus about £30) and a HB option (plus abount £60).

Possible resorts, with the cheapest first:
Les 2 Alpes – Staying in central residence with no specific bar facility.
Alpe D’Huez – Staying in the Auberge residence with the use of our own SCUK bar downstairs.
Les 2 Alpes – Staying in the Belle Alpe residence with the use of own SCUK bar downstairs.
Tignes Le Lac – Staying in central residence with the use of own SCUK bar opposite.

The cost difference from cheapest to most expensive is only around £40.

Price wise the first Les 2 Alpes option has the slight edge but with no group bar on offer. However, if we go for the Les 2 Alpes option with accommodation in the Belle Alpe and the bar downstairs then we're looking slightly more expensive than Alpe D’Huez.

Les 2 Alpes has more chalets to offer, but depends how many we need. Alpe D’Huez has the slight edge as it can provide everything we're after.

Tignes is always a great resort, but more expensive.

There will be a discount for SCUK Members, but anybody is welcome.

Your thoughts/comments are welcome Smile

All sounds good to me. Would be happy with any of those resorts and the pricing is sounding OK as well.

Is this just for SCUK members or for everyone? If it's for everyone, will there be discount for us paid up types?

Sounds cool. I was in Les Deux for a week in March and it was wicked but I'd be happy to go anywhere to be honest!

Any idea when? Early, mid or late season?

Will almost certainly be late January. I missed that bit. That means you can do this and do another in March, like I intend to.

It's always been late January, since we decided we were going to do it and announced it on here before Robster announced his (I think).
