Then you beat me! One broken arm, has started to set wrong as I left it a week to get it looked at and may need to be rebroken to set correctly. At least I have a reason for not being very good now... |

Steve (Nameless) got altitude sickness and vertigo and had to go home early
Milney got a bad chest (probably bronchitis)
My "cold" has developed nicely into a chest infection and lost my voice - had it before and I'm off to the doc's on Wednesday morning to pick up some nice tasty steroids to munch on....
Oh, and Sidge, you were gloating to me about the vodka, as well as on quiz night when you got hammered without paying for a single drink. Now to my mind there's lots of friendly people in the world who will happily buy a drink for anyone, but to gloat or take the p1ss out of them isn't to good really. |

Well I did a nice jump into the off piste, floated through it, then jumped onto the piste........straight into a skier.......took him out rather impressively.
Mostly I was OK, but my split lip left blood all over the slope. I don't think John was too impressed my the skin dangling out of my mouth. I still managed the kicker on the way back to my apartment for repairs though. Even worse, his skis took a chunk out of my board!!
I think I am also suffering from alcohol poisoning following the Friday night (Saturday morning) Desparados in Jacks. |

Yeah, I popped my shoulder out on the third hit in the blue park line. I have done it before so tried to pop it back in whilst it was still hurting. It didn't, so had a throng of "well wishers" gather to look after me. I did force it back in the end and did the same run through the park before going on a slash-fest on the Parlafour to end the day. It wasn't until the next day that it really started to hurt, so had a day off.
Good skills to all those pushing their riding.
As for Christina (no idea who she is on here)... Dragon Glen took us hiking and it wasn't until we were about 100m from a previous slide on a "one at a time" virgin slope that she mentioned that this was only her 3rd day on the slopes. The ragdoll + goggle/hat toss was fun to watch, but she was smiling when she caught up with us |

Yeah, dirty sanchez would sum bash up.
I can say that I was certainly SCUKED - broken leg, eroded liver, several bruises but still smiling
I am still amazed at how I managed to break my leg in two places when I wasn't even doing anything hardcore. It wasn't the multiple somersaults in powder, run through the trees, bouncing off kickers, or the collusion with a rock in the hidden valley that caused it...no,no....I managed to break myself in a simple dip in the bowl......
But I also learned some valuable lessons:
1. Boarding down a mountain with a broken leg/ankle is not the brightest idea
2. Dancing on a broken leg in a bar up the mountain is also not the best idea (even if the blokes standing on the bar tables are getting their kit off)
3. When your ankle swells to twice the size of your head and remains purple, this generally means that it is broken - despite all your mates telling you it's just a sprain.
4. it is probably best to go and see a doctor as soon as possible as opposed to waiting a day and a half
5. Travelling as an invalid on Easyjet kicks ass as you get pushed around in wheelchairs and vehicles with flashing lights - cool!
Now I have 5 weeks of recovery to look forward to - which is actually longer than my cumulative time actually snowboarding. Is it worth it? Hell yeah!
Cheers for the good times
