Hi all,
I’m booked onto a 1 day course at Chillfactore next week and wanted to know what this course they offer is like. Has anyone completed this with them and how was it, do these lessons all in one day work and what is the kind of level you are supposed to achieve..?
I appreciate that not everyone will walk away with the same level of riding but do these 1 day courses allow you to ride with enough confidence to progress on a slope..?
Any comments / feedback would be appreciated..!

a few friends of mine have done this course over the last year with varying outcomes.
some of them were given the all clear to ride the slope after doing the course, some were told they'd need another lesson.
most recently i watched my mates practicing their turns for the last hour or so of the course and am pretty confident they'll be good to hit the mountain green runs.
hope that helps! its certainly a good way to get started. |

| I did the course with a guy they call 'doogle'. You should be able to hit the main slope comfortably althought you will still feel like floating leaf the steep part of the hill. you will hurt afterwards though, just try and get throught the pain go back the day after your lesson to practise what you learnt. |

I do the course next Tuesday and go away on the Friday so seeing how I feel, I might try and try Wed's..?
Doing the lessons while away I would only get 2 x hrs each day over the 5 days so I thought this way would be a better option..? |

Hello,
I went last night for my snowboard tester and I am considering the full day course. From what I heard its worth doing although making sure you remember it all is important as Merc pointed out above. All seems fun!! |

Probably, I did the Tam version so can't comment on Chill, but the hardest bit is getting used to turning, especially if you've not done it before.
So they'll do a lot of falling leaf, which is kinda inbetween linked turns and no turns
Get the basics down pat innit and get you linking turns by the end of the day. Sometimes they will ask you to do one more just to polish it off.
This way, you'll be able to enjoy the mountain and rip it up |

Well what a day. There were 8 people on the course and the tutor was just great, his name was Doogle and he was a big help and good fun. Thanks mate if you read this..!
It took me to 4pm to link turns so I missed out on the main slope but TBH, I am glad there ws a little more room as I finished the day linking quite confidently..!
Had some falls which is expected and I am so glad I bought some Impact shorts (Forcefield).
I think I will go back tomorrow evening and do the main slope but start about an 8th of the way up to ge the fel again..?
Just like to sy thanks to all the advice and comments on here and look out for when I start asking for advice on a board and bindings..!
