Post subject: Last minute places available - or apt to lodge upgrade?  PostPosted: Jan 14, 2009 - 01:01 PM

Just a quick note to say i wanted to get all the transfer info, apartment share info and all the details of the week out to you all today but....
Chasing up the last stragglers to pay and provide arrival/departure info has meant that a few people have let me know late on that they've had to pull out so what it means is i have 2 or 3 places in the lodge itself now available so if anyone wants to book last minute for that, or anyone booked into apartments wants to upgrade to the lodge then let me know - only fair to make it a first come first served deal so email me john@dragonlodge.com if interested in either - will give it until Friday latest then closet it there so i can do the final apartment allocation and send out everyone's details.
Cheers
John

Just wondered what do you get in the lodge for the extra 100 pounds. I can see its breakfast, cake and games machines. Is there evening meals and/or is the accomodation better?

Evening meals are included, and the accommodation may be a bit roomier than your standard apartment.

If you go to http://www.dragonlodge.com/ and click on 'Virtual Lodge' from the list on the left, you can click on the little circles on the diagram to show different views of the Lodge, and use your mouse to move the pictures around. The little squares are static pictures.

Awesome work 163merc, look forward to seeing you in the lodge and making fun of your oversized clown feet.

Plus, is it all-you-can-drink wine....?

Last thing, it doesn't mention a sauna/spa. Any chance there's one hidden there?

There isn't an unlimited supply of wine, but usually there's been a good few bottles of red and white on the dining table in the past.

There's no sauna/spa in the Lodge, but there's the Aqua Centre not very far away down by the lake – 13 Euros gets you into the spa/sauna/swimming pool for the day, or 45 Euros for the week.

http://www.tignes.net/GB_espace-aquatique1.html

After a hard day on the slopes it's pretty awesome.

Aqua centre looks pretty cool although I'm a little puzzled but slight interested in what 'fun showers' are.

As for wine, any wine is good wine.

i am heading off to the spa when i arrive at about 4pm my 6ft 6 frame will be aching like mad after being stuck on a plane and coach for 6+ hours. Don't forget your speedos.

The 'fun showers' are six (or maybe eight?) showers grouped together in a circle with different sorts of shower heads on them that shoot at you from all different angles - usual sort of mist, rain or jet-blast affair.

Rubbish, I was hoping there would be some sort of thing with thai girls and water pistols. No worries, I'll have to settle for misty/rainy showers. Wink
