But not in last years format, unfortunatly

Looks like the bbc gave in to people moaning about it being too much of a magazine and not enough downhill racing with cowbells.

But to be fair to them they have created a new program which will have all the good stuff from last year again. High Altitude starts this weekend and should be worth a watch.

Doesn't look like there's going to be a lot of snowboarding. The BBC need to sort their sh1t out and catch up with the world.

I'm surprised they've scrapped the new format. From what I could tell they'd pretty much copied Top Gear, which seems a reasonable thing to do. I'd be interested to know what the viewing figures were but I know I watched it all, and I haven't watched Ski Sunday in years.

Should be just the same with the adventure aspect and those not wanting to watch the ski racing will no longer have to. However i am abit pee'd that it looks like they wont cover any of the snowboard comps Sad

That's real bad news... been waiting with baited breath for the new season after last years excellent update. Hadn't watched SS for years as Eurosport's coverage had blown it out of the water. I too am concearned about the amount of potential snowboard coverage in HA. Will have to wait and see...

i hate to drag you away from the exiting topics on scuk.....but theres a bit of a debate going on after the ski sunday blog, the old..i'm a licence payer mob and people from yesteryear are bitching and complaining..

i've posted a few trying to voice out for freestyle snowsports not just a spandex wearing , cowbell ringing race geek fest...

so go and register and let the bbc hear our voice Very Happy

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/sporteditors ... lse#dnaacs

or just laugh at silly old farts who post things like this:

Quote:
- lots of people turn up by the piste to watch the skiing. Only a few out of fashion grungey nurd types hang around the snowboarding pipes

There are two shows this year though, they have seperated it out. One show with the lifestyle stuff and one a more traditional ski sunday show.

Id have though that Ed Leighs involvement would guarantee some snowboarding. We can ask Stu next week im sure he'll have the inside.

Like i said, the fact that Ed is still involved should mean some snowboarding still. As much as last years format was good it was never going to work, half the viewers forward winded through one part and the other though the other part. Its easy to complain but they have been heading in the right direction finally, lets wait and see before we all slate them and moan our heads off because of what 'might' happen?
