I agree with Branny - the MOD just sees participants in "Extreme" sports as an excellent source of new cannon fodder now that they are having to find new ways of recruiting. I also find it offensive that they advertise to us by comparing being in the military to participating in the ultimate extreme sport - this to my mind is an insult to my intelligence, but also an insult to the brave men and women serving in the Forces, as what they do and endure is nothing like this.
I have lots of friends in the Military, and come from a military family, but it leaves a bad taste in my mouth that those who once wouldn't have crossed the road to help us are now falling over themselves to be our friends.
The American Military advertising surrounding the X-Games, and in Transworld etc is beyond a joke.
I strongly believe that such advertising has no place on this website, or in any other snowboard media.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion so I'm not going to debate how we differ... I just don't get the bit about crossing the road...
I would always have been friends with anyone (standfast Sidge and Tibs)... I do think it is sometimes a bit strong in some areas but the military just employs advertising agencies nowadays so they can't really be held directly responsible...
