What software, if any, do people use to convert dvds into a playable format on ipods??
Need something to fill the day at work and really wanna sit about all day watching bread and butter! |

Hi,
I didn't have much success with handbrake but now use these 2 -
DVD Shrink to remove all unwanted extras like different languages and make the files a lot smaller and then ImTOO DVD Ripper to convert the files into ipod format.
Never had any problems with multiple files or formats using these two.
DVD Shrink you can get as a free download.
ImTOO DVD Ripper do a trial version but I bought the proper version - it's worth it. |

I too use dvd shrink, I then convert it to mp4 with Videora ipod converter.
Both are free to download, google will find them easily enough. It does take a while to convert though, about the same amount as it would to watch! |

I use 'Xilisoft DVD to iPhone Converter'. It has settings to choose other types of iPod screen sizes etc, and lets you choose chapters, full dvds, extras, etc.
It works great with no sync problems.
I always use it before I head off on holiday and fill my iPod Touch with movies and Family Guy episodes for on the plane!! |
