I know this sounds stupid but where do you actually put the gaiters on your pants? inside or outside boot?

Oh and any tips on using poma lift with regular stance would be greatly appreciated.

They go outside mate. The little hook things on them snag on to laces to stop them moving.....the gaitors are to stop snow going up your legs.

gaiters (at least as far as I'm aware) go outside the boot, otherwise if the outer layer of the pants rides up, then snow goes down your boot.

As for lifts, generally just relax is the best advice. Remember not to sit on the button, just let it pull you up.

Hey Mark the POMA's just take a bit of time. As you're reg you'll be holding the bar with your left arm, let your right arm drop back behind you. As you're going up lean on your back foot a little, just a little weight on your right leg will help keep you centred. Look where you're going not at your board.

As has already been said relax. A little bit of flex at the knees will help you to ride bumpy bits. If you're holding really tight and your legs are stiff you're more likely to fall off. Lastly don't worry about what anyone else thinks, if you fall off just clear the track quickly and ride down and have another go.

Poma's were the bane of my life but just do what the other posters have said and it will click.

For me the secret was not to tense up, to look at the terrain ahead and to let my trailing arm hang behind to kinda balance things out.
