Two things today:

1) Estate Agents. We're in the middle of selling our house. OUr solicitors are going through all the steps and talking to sort everything, including a fairly spurious contaminated land problem with our current house, brought up by our buyers enviro search. We're waiting to hear from the lenders to our buyers to hear whether they're happy. THis is all fair enough. Then the estate agent for the person whose house we're buying is phoning everyone up, getting our buyers irate at us, generally winding everyone up, and also arranging things that they have no power to arrange, such as exact moving dates etc, insurances etc, If they weren't involved everyone would be wiating peacefully for things to happen, and then we'd move. But they've wound everyone up, and keep phoning me as if I'm to blame for it all.

2) People criticising the BBC. Over the weekend apparently 12 million watched the Thames pageant, 17 million watched the concert and 8 million watched the documentary with Gary Barlow. 2000 people complained. Not sure what figures this percentage is based on, but they say 0.03% of the viewers complained - I'd say that's fairly good, but everyone is saying that its disastrous for the BBC and shows how bad they are. Especially because someone accidentally said Jim instead of John before correcting themselves. The worst bit of it is that the Beeb are their own worst enemy. Because they've been so stung by criticism in the past, they automatically say that they accept it was rubbish and they'll learn from their mistakes. Why not have a little pride for their work? To be honest, the thames thing wasn't great viewing, but I think they made 5 hours of watching boats go along a river slowly in the rain as interesting as they could!

Ace, I find the best thing to do when people phone you and moan/whinge and generally piss you off is, as polite as you can, tell them to feck off and then put the phone down. You wont get many more calls from them ( NB, maybe one, pulling out of the sale, but then none)

Yeah, that's the problem at the moment - I don't wanna go both barrels until everything is signed and sealed. Then I'll tell them where they shove their piece of crap estate agency.

All estate agents do is photocopy and lie. That's the whole job. I hate them with a passion. The whole process of buying and selling a house seems to be as convoluted as possible. I also noticed that pretty much everyone has some kind of legal hicup/problem right near the end of the process so when you do finally complete you just breathe a huge sigh of relief and pay whatever extortionate amount you owe to the conveyancer/solicitor without questioning it too much. C0cksmokers the lot of them!

For all those annoyed with Estate Agents...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkdixpOvQzs

Classic.

After going round a ton of estate agents looking for a rental property in September, a lot of them do seem to be a bit dickish, especially in a high-traffic area such as Bournemouth which is a university town, they can basically treat you like sh1t as they know someone else will want the property in a days time.

The last company we viewed property with (BourneCoast) were fantastic however, my friend and I viewed a property for so long the current tenant offered me a cup of tea!

I've bloody double booked myself for the first weekend in July. That was when I was meant to be going on this Kayaking trip to Cornwall however I've already book tickets to Truck Festival in Oxford... worst thing is I'd rather go Kayaking. RUBBISH.

In need of a rant today.
Stupid Epilepsy cropping up again meant i missed the 2 maverix sessions last weekend. Mildly amusing though, seizure happened at the top of the slope at cas. apparently i face-planted onto someones board and everyone was just laughing for 20 secs till they realised something wasn't quite right.

Then had to surrender my drivers license for 12 months minimum.
All that wouldn't be the end of the world but now i have to get the bus to work,
Whats wrong with the bus? i hear you ask?
So last night on the way home bus suddenly stops about a mile from home, teaming with rain, "everybody off!" cries the driver.
"why?"
"one of the chavs has taken a shi!t on the back seat!" seriously what is the world coming to.

Today was 2 minutes late for my opticians appointment at D&A because the 'every 10 minutes' bus didn't show up for 30 still raining btw. So they gave away my slot.
When the optician finally saw me and asked, direct quote "how is contact lenses making you be feelings?" i answered "vociferously ambivalent" Next time i think she's gonna spit in my lens solution.
That'll be £35 please sir!
Hang on you invited me in for this consultation!
£35 please
Whistle.

Bad week, now i've got 4x12 hour night shifts over the weekend

Roll on the 23rd and L2A can't come soon enough.
Oh and the travel insurance whacked a 200% policy endorsement on me. £100 for a weeks snowboard insurance, fantastic.

/rant

Dude. that sucks balls. I feel you on the lost licence. I had a bit of an eppie flying a glider and got mine torn out of my clammy little hands and didn't see it for another 9 months of arguing. Finally got permission to drive, but no actual licence returned. I was going out of my FACE on "pubic transport", so I sprang for insurance on my bike.... it's a FUN call with the insurers when you tell them you have no licence at all, but want some underwriting. The premium was a *sting*. I sincerely hope you get your epilepsy nailed and get back to driving.

You're clearly in need of some good luck. Find it.

I'm just grumpy cause I want to be asleep and I can't.
