Hello there!

I'm planning on doing my level 1 and 2 NZSIA Qualification in Snowboard instructing next year. Before I do it, i was wondering if anyone knew what the qualification meant. I.e. can i use this qualification all over the world? Is it as good a qualification to get as the CASI certificate? I would like to travel after obtaining my qualification and need to know which countries don't work with the NZSIA?

I would also like to know how the actual test is? Is there a good chance most people will pass? I only ask as it's a LARGE amount of money.

Thanks
x

The NZSIA/SBINZ Stage 1 is equivalent to CSIA/CASI 2 and BASI 2, (with the CSI being equivalent to the 1 in these countries). It can be used worldwide. France and Italy are two countries which require their own certification.

i just copied and pasted that off peakleaders Smile

I'm not sure but I think if you wanna work in NZ predominantly then the nzsia one is best, but if you want to work in mainly canada then casi is best - not definitely sure though. But they all have their equivalents so would be fine.

Hey, I've just got back from NZ did my CSI and Stage 1 out there this summer. Have now got a job for the season in Winter Park... seems to be a pretty good quailfication, and doesn't stop you getting work anywhere... expect France I think.

Hey, im doing that same course with peakleaders next year with the intention of working the following winter and as Billie stated it's the equivalent to CSIA/CASI 2 and BASI 2 except in France.
