Hi all,
Im looking at buying my first board, and like most people im on a tight budget
Just wondering if anyone has used an Anagram, and what their thoughts are on it, as a first board to help me progress.
It comes in a Wide option, and im unsure as to whether I'll need it.
I have size 10 Burton boots motos.
The size difference between the wide and normal doesnt seem to much, just wondered what peoples advice was on this.
Normal 155: Waist (cm) 24.9 and Tip/Tail Width (cm) 29.33
155 Wide: Waist (cm) 26.2 and Tip/Tail width (cm) 30.63
Thanks |

I ride in size 10 Burton rulers and my board is 250 wide and thats fine for me though this may depend on your stance and binding angles- too narrow stance and little to no back foot angle may give you too much toe/heel overhang.
Thats quite a big difference in width although as I've found with size 10's you are on the edge of needing a mid wide/wide board so it probally wouldn't cause you too many probs if you went for the wide. A board thats too wide can cause as many probs as one that you have too much overhang on.
Wider boards are in theory slightly slower edge to edge, though if you are a beginner that prob wont be an issue. They are however slightly more stable on landings and have a bit more float.
As for the Anagram...sorry never ridden one. Best thing to do is find your local demo centre and try a few boards out. |

Thanks for the reply, think ill stay away from the wide boards. and maybe look at boards that have a mid width of at leath 250.
Guess not many people have had a K2 Anagram, maybe that says enough about it? |

| Hey! I have a K2 Anagram 163cm wide snowboard; I think it looks more kick arss than some of the other K2 boards. It's definitely wide enough for boarders with huge feet and its got great flex. Another cool thing about the board is that you can put a 3 degree bevel on the base edge. And its twin tip so on price it beats the Burton’s twin. |
