2009 Bataleon Riot 155

I've been riding for about 5 years and would say I'm and intermediate rider and this is my 3rd board. I have an Evil Twin but wanted something a bit more stable at speed.
I demoed the Bataleon Riot and Jam courtesy of TSA at Milton Keynes.

I still wanted a Bataleon board because I've found them so easy to ride and it's very difficult to catch an edge with them.

The Evil Twin is good in a dome but has its limitations on a mountain.
The Riot is very similar, but a bit stiffer. It's also good in a dome but comes into its own on a mountain with a bit of speed.
I've used it twice in a dome and for 1 week at Tignes.

The harder you ride this board the better the performance.
Turning and carving on the Riot is excellent.
Whereas on some of the turns the Evil Twin would have wiped out the Riot held the edge and I haven't yet lost it, and I tried.
It has terrific grip.
On the flat I got about an extra 30% distance for the same amount of speed as I did on the Evil Twin and it feels a lot more solid with no chatter.
It also feels more solid and stable when you land from a jump.
Same as the Twin, easy to spin and ride switch.

Also tried the Bataleon Jam. Similar to the Riot and was tempted to buy this one but it's really a mountain board. I spend all year in a dome and 1 week away on a mountain. I'd recommend the Jam if you can get sufficient mountain time.

Graphics are okay and the bottom is solid black and should be easy to repair with black ptex candles so will not show marks easily.

Company description-
Bataleon Riot Snowboard 2009: We love twins. Especially when they are from Norway
and even more if one has green eyes and the other blue and both are so gorgeous
that you can’t decide which is the best looking one. It can be hard to choose from
twins but if you like big fast and burly (on your snowboard) you will love this board.
Riot is the stick that most of our team dudes shred on. If you want the highest
performance out of your twin, this is the one for you.
