Looking to make one more snow trip this year to break in some new gear and see a bit more of Europe. Wound up looking at the Kitzenhorn glacier near Kaprun. Airfare to Salzburg is pretty cheap and the transfer is tolerable, but I have no idea where to stay.

Anyone care to recommend a hostel nearby? Or somewhere else (and somewhere to stay) that will have snow in JUNE? Wont have a car so easy access to the lifts is important Smile Chur

We're going out there in August, been to Saas Fee for the last 3 years, time for a change, anyone know if there's a skate park in Kaprun or Zell am See?

Got a reply from Haus Patricia:
The hostel is closed 5 May to July and the glacier closes 2-20 June for maintenence.
She also mentioned that the best time to come for late boarding is April/May then Oct/Nov for early
season.

Yoda, where did you stay at Saas Fee?

First year in the Hotel Dom, the 2 years after in private apartments near the lift station. It worked quite a bit cheaper for 3 of us, would have been even cheaper with 4.
