A topic to (hopefully) waste some time this afternoon instead of doing work.
I'm interested in knowing what size boards you think I *should* be riding. There's no right answer I suppose, as everyone is different, but I thought it'd be interesting to see what answers people come up with (I already have the boards I think I need)
I'm 6 foot 1, 14 Stone and size 10 feet
Give us two sizes - one for all mountain board and one for a freestyle board that I'd use on Tam/Cas etc.

Well I'm 14.5 stone and have size 10 feet, height isn't hugely relevant but I'm about 5'10, so roughly the same size as you. I ride a 161 Rome Anthem mostly, which is just right for me for all mountain use. The board is fairly stiff so it needs to be ridden quite hard, if you're not an aggressive rider you might go for something shorter. It's also a good size for powder - doesn't get bogged down too much. My other board is a 158 Rome Metal which is shorter but much stiffer, rides like a dream if I can be bothered to put the effort in! I use that with riser plates so my toes don't drag because it's pretty narrow.
For someone of my (our) size I reckon anything between around 156 and 163 to be a good length for all mountain, depending on how stiff the board is, how aggressive you ride and what sort of conditions you ride in (longer boards being better for choppy stuff or powder). I can't really comment on freestyle boards as it's not something I do much of, but never had a problem with either of my boards sizes when I do venture into the park.
