Hi folks!
I've just signed up here after booking a snowboarding holiday to Canada for a week next March.
I've been boarding a few times each year for the last 5 years up in Scotland and love it! Until now I've always hired equipment... but friends have recommended I at least buy boots for going away, since I'll be wearing them a lot!
As they're going to be a Christmas present, there is no budget as such, so I want something decent. I've always been tempted by DC Judge boots for the last few years, but now I've noticed the Graphix ones which are similar, but a bit cheaper.
I definately want BOA lacing, as one of the hire pairs I had used them and I thoght they were brilliant.
As my feet are slightly different sizes I thought the 'pump' would be perfect for tightening the slacker one up.
Has anyone had any experience of these boots, and what do they think?
Also, what are the sizing of DC boots like? I'm a size 9 in most shoes, but with thick socks on I might be a 9.5... although nowhere sells these boots in 1/2 sizes.
I dont have a local DC supplier, so I'd probably be best buying a 9 and a 10 and sending back the ones that dont fit?
Any suggestions are appreciated. |

| cant say if they will be good for you, the only way to tell is to go in the shops and try them on, dont go for the first ones you like, try loads on and pick the best fitting ones, they should be snug but not too tight and shouldnt be able to move heel up when ur in them. Dont worry good shops will understand that nearly everyone trys on loads of boots and will be happy to help |

Thanks for the replies...
Two Seasons - I didnt realise those boots came in white with BOA. I could only find them in black on the DC site.
Unfortunately I am up in Aberdeen so there are none of your shops close to try them on. Would it be possible to order a 9 and 10 and send them back if they dont fit?
I dont think any of my local snow shops sell DC stuff.... although I'm going for a look on Thursday morning. |

I've got some DC Judge boots and I love them -
I unfortunately have feet that are a whole size different so it is hard getting boots to fit properly (not uncommon apparently!).
I originally had a pair of Judge UK 8's which were half a size too small for one of my feet and hurt my toes like hell. I then got some 8.5s and they fit perfectly - the air bladder sorts out the little bit of looseness on my smaller foot.
I am a UK 8 to 8.5 in normal footwear so I guess their sizing is quite accurate and they do not come up as the too small or large. |

| Forgot to mention - I could not find half size DC judges in the UK and I ended up shipping them in from the USA - ended up saving me about £80!! |

I did see a seller on ebay shipping half sizes from Italy in the Graphix boot. The price was only about £20 cheaper. I suppose this would be an option if I was needing a 9.5 though.
dpope : which site did you order the Judge's from? I had a look at USA based sites the other day, but most dont ship to UK.
How is the pump? I heard someone mention it leaks - although hopefully thats just a one off case? |

I bought them through a US shop on Ebay - sorry but I can not remember which one.
The pumps do leak a little throughout the day but topping them up is easy. |

| Sorry dude - too late! I got a pair of Burton boots from Boarderline a few weeks ago. After wearing them around my living room for a few hours I realised that the 9's were a bit too short and after a lot of walking about in the shop I changed them for a 9.5 - which fit like a glove! Now I just need a chance to test them out! |
