OK, with that out of the way, I've had the screws that attach the binding to the board come loose a few times. It's quite occasional and I've always noticed it before it's got really loose and been able to retighten. It always seems to be my leading foot (and therefore not the one I'm putting my foot in and out of), but perhaps the leading foot gets more pressure - dunno. I figure it's nothing to do with it being a Flow style binding per se, but perhaps something to do with the way the baseplate and screws work. Anyone else had this problem?
One thing I did notice might be causing the problem is that the baseplate has a little bit of padding underneath which I guess protects the board surface (surely doesn't provide any real dampening), but I guess it means it's difficult to tighten the screws definitively tightly, since the foam might just press tighter under use, allowing the screws to become loose again? A lot of bindings I took a look at in a store the other day seemed to have padding though. |

I've had the exact same problem numerous times with my Flows. Once I was on a bumpy traverse and my right binding (back foot) literally shook completely off the board! I lost most of my bolts then, and have since replaced them.
One thing that seems to work is this: get a real screwdriver; those sissy multitools don't give you the proper torque to really tighten your bolts. Lean over top of it and push down as your screw. It might tear your bolts up a bit, but at least you won't find yourself in a one-foot slalom at 40 mph.
oh and PS: my g/f has flow bindings also, and has never had this problem... |

| What screw length do Flow use? May be worth replacing them if they are shorter than other manufacturers! |

| Flow use ever so slightly longer screws because the older style flows have a massive thick base plate! Have heard about screws coming loose in flows alot, you are not alone, probs a design fault or manufacturing fault. |

| Never had a problem but then I do mine up with a proper screwdriver not a dodgy ski tool thing. If you still have trouble try threadlock, but use the type reccomended by the manufacturer otherwise you'll have trouble getting them off when you need too! |

It didn't, but most of us realised that as you'd already made the connection in your first post there was no point in beating on you further.
As we're dragging out out the tired old stuff......
FLOWS ARE GAY!!!
(Love ya really all you Flow riders out there - personally I don't care what people ride as long as they enjoy themselves) |
