7 Post subject: Tunes on the slope - what headphones?  PostPosted: Dec 18, 2007 - 10:29 PM

I have a decent pair of earphones for listening to my tunes. The problem I have is that they are wired to my phone, so when spinning around and rolling in the snow they get pulled out of my ears. I was thinking about a set of bluetooth earphones, like the Sony HBH-DS980.

Any opinions? What do you use?

Yes ... but it;s either skullcandy lowriders if there's no toys and can wear a beanie, or it's sennheiser cx300's under the lid ... no bluetooth stuff for me, it's another thing to charge and go wrong and I've never heard a pair with decent sound either. Probably no help at all to you, but it seemed like u needed some love Very Happy

Don't you have any friends? If someone in our party decided they'd rather listen to music than speak to anyone, I think they'd soon find themselves ignored. And surely you could do with having decent hearing on the slopes?

Are the skullcandy lowriders the really small headphones?

I think you're on about the icons, I've got some, they're awesome.

Think I'm going to see what the WE ones are like on Friday.

yes I have friends. are you trying to insult me? thats not a very friendly thing to say first time you speak to someone. I doubt you have many with that mouth on ye. get some manners.

I like to get psyched with some music as I hit the jumps in a park or do a run down the pipe, that's all.

I listen to music but have them wired into my helmet so I can hear my friends also... but to be fair it is not often that when I am riding we have conversations... A bit of Prodigy always gets me going too fast for my own good... I'm not really sure of the quality of the headphones but I am not a big music person, to me they all sound the same... although that could be due to the large number of loud bangs I hear at work ruining my ears

When I'm riding I like to hear what's going on around me for safetys sake more than anything, so if I have music on I tend to use my helmet built in ones at a reasonably low level.

I find that I cant ride with music unless its pumped out from a stereo somewhere,
feels liek you get blocked out from the rest of the world
