Looks like we're booking a work weekend to the snow, with Megeve being the likely destination. Any opinions / anyone been there?
Thanks muchly all you fine people |

| It was the first place I ever went "snowsporting" although I was actually skiing. I remember the town was quite nice, but the resort is quite small. I'll stand corrected as this was about 14 years ago. Chamonix is not too far away if all goes pear-shaped. |

| its smallish but pretty good. the one problem is it sits pretty low, so the snow isnt 100% reliable. but then again it isnt anywhere. however, if the snow is ok, there is plenty to ride. take lots of money tho...... |

the french see it as their 'creme-de-la-creme' of posh resorts... not sure why as it isn't the highest, doesn't have the biggest/best area, and isn't the prettiest town (but at least it isn't an ugly purpose built place). That said, it does have a very exclusive airport up on the snow and is a nice little place. Some of our staff have family living there and say it's a nice place to go riding for a day or two.
Just one word of warning... there's a McDonalds in the middle of the town that gave me a 3 day head-ache last time I ate there... |
