Always become a human guinea pig? Some places pay up to £4k if you have to do a 28 day residential stay with them.

I am considering doing a shorter one before I go away if I don't have the money.

Ha, nothing wrong with that round here, just claim it as frostbite from a solo trip out into the wilderness. Will win you many extra man points at the bar!

Have a good time dazzler > wish I was going this year though money is an issue.

I can't wait for it to come around > though thinking about wage packets i get before i'm planning on going i'm slightly worried.

If I save up enough to bum it for the season, that's what I want to do Smile

I couldnt afford to go to whistler at all but I made the decision to go!!!

basically, I booked my accommodation, paid the deposit which meant no way out...

it has been difficult but with 10 days to go, it is all paid for, I have enough money to last for 3.5 month swithout having to work..

booking it focusses the mind otherwise you just daydream about it and never get it done!

I am 33 next month so its never too late..

though the amount of snowboarders I know who are 18-25 who think buying a pimped car is more important than doing a season...or think their reasons for not going are actually valid, when they are just excuses..

get it booked, then sort the cash out...you will find the money...

Try and keep your thread going shibs. Dazzler started the 07/08 thread what seems like yonks ago, but I can't believe its come round so quick, 3 days to go!!

I've spent the last 12 months scrimping and saving like a mo fo, but it's gonna be so worth it. My trick was to think of how many canadian beers i could buy with the cash i was about to blow on something here in the uk, ha!

Its been damn hard not going out on the lash quite as much, and i got some grief off the lads, but i'm all smiles now as i can be a ski bum for the next 5 months while they go to work every morning, ha!

Keep your thread going though as this seasons has been really useful and has helped me to keep on going when i wanted to blow all my savings on something else, ha!!

And what dazzler has just said is spot on! Pay for your digs asap and then there's no turning back!

also if you have the time (probably a lot needed) its worth going through all 100+ pages of the other one and picking stuff out of it that you will need to know, make some notes and stuff on what you need to sort out. Will drop in some usefull stuff overt he next few months when Im there.
