How did you book the tickets - over the Internet before you got there, or at the resort?
We are planning to fly to Zurich and then get a train to St. Anton.
Thanks. |

St Anton is a great place with lots of different areas to ride. The night life is good too.
I went there twice last season, once mid March and the conditions were great with lots of powder (apparently the best all season) . I went back at the start of April and the conditions weren't so great on the runs down to the town but still good higher up.
I'm going back there mid March this season.
Have fun. |

Went to St Anton in February 2006 and I loved it, lots of runs and you can board over to St Christoph and Lech (where all the rich people tend to go, lech has a boardpark with rails etc). Rendl has a few ramps and a speedcheck run as well as a nice red run back down to town.
Nightlifewise there's always KrazyKangaruh's (it's at the end of the run "red 2" on the piste map just outside town, or at least it was, shuts early so you have to sometimes board the remainder of the run back to St Anton in pitch black, great fun!), and there's quite a few good bars in the town itself though the names elude me.
Take a cable lock for your board, fairly obvious I know but we were warned off that some of the locals can be lightfingered and we met a german skier outside one of the bars who was quite miffed as his ski's had just been stolen.
We stayed in Chalet Schlossoff through Crystal which was a 10 min walk outside town but it was mega cheap though it tends to always be booked up. |

Hiya,
The 3 of us stayed here: http://www.igluski.com/propertyinfo.cfm ... ACC#prices which was nice although the beds weren't very comfortable. Lots of nice restaurants nearby.
Pettneu is a 15 min bus ride from St Anton. Also check out Lech which is nearby. Buses run until 8pm. After that it's 30 Euros from St Anton to Pettneu. |
