well the prices for teh Chill factor e are up Here
So what do we all thinkg about them?
for me there good and bad
for an hour at casts £21 and for an hour and a half at chill £22 so its a bit cheaper and if you pay the £100 for annual membershil it will save and extra 30% but as its so far from darlington i'll just be sticking to Cas!
also will Chill be doing freestyle nights? and wil then have a special price as the xscape's do? |

well Chill is only like half the distance/time for me than going to CAS
but like i've said to a few friends will they have a freestyle setup from the start?
will go, but think i'll still have trips through to CAS for academy nights

if i lived near by then i would be happy to pay. over the year driving to cas, mk or tam it would work out cheaper.
shame i wont get chance to try the place out until next year. |

I'll probably go to Cas MORE often when Trafford opens as hopefully it will be quieter (and they might improve to re-take their customer base! Might go through every other month and stop over do a shop and some board time so a membership will be no use for me!
Prices look good though! |

I think the prices are quite reasonable, BUT the duration's a bit weird, 90mins? They made a point of saying that they're in a catchment area to so many million people within a 2 hour radius. So doubt I'll want to spend 3 to4 hours for just 90mins Boardin. (obviously you could double it)
£100 for a years membership seems steep, even if you do get 30% off . You can get 20% off at Cas and Mk for most of the year for as little as £15 using your SCUK membership.
Would be nice if they could negotiate another deal where we get perhaps , 10 to 15% off without forking out the £100 - 30% membership.
Guess we'll have to see what other offers come up .
Think I'll be sticking to Cas for now but who Knows.
Got a hotel booked for Friday 30th Nov at trafford centre (£26 Bargin) so defo gonna head down there to see what it's all about!!! |

prices seem competetive with cas. only questions i would need answering before considering going is
Do members get unlimited riding time ?
Are there freestyle nights? and what sort of price are those gonna be?
Will they be included in the membership?
Is there a SCUK discount for single sessions if you dont want a membership
Last but not least is rob drunk ? |

So, you pay a membership fee of £100, which saves you 30% of the £22 slope time (£6.60) - each session costing just £15.40.
So before you actually start saving any money you've got to have riden at the Chill Factore at least 16 times.
16 session x £6.60 = £105.60, which covers your initial membership fee of £100.
If you were a local or planned to ride there on a regular basis, then it would make sense, but to casual users like I'd be (and I plan to ride there sometime) it makes no sense.
Unless the deal between SCUK and Chill Factore gives us the 30% discount without paying the £100 fee - that'd be great! |
