Post subject: new boots = they dont seem to fit my bindings

I got some new boots yesterday, some vans BFB in size 9, my previous boots were burton sababths 9.5 but 3 years old.
My old sabaths fitted my bindings fine, but these just dont seem to at all.
Where my sabaths were a pretty sung fit. these arent.
The problem is they are not as long and dont really make it to the end of the gas pedal bit.
So can i adjust my bindings to make these fit or do need to get new bindings. I have burton EST bindings.
Any advice is welcome |

yeah, you should be able to slide the gas pedal back a bit if their anythin like my cartel's...
take them off, and just wiggle it a lot... |

unfortunalty on the ESTs this doesnt seem to be possible. As the base is all in one.
The main issue is the cap strap on the last hole and cranked right down, doesnt actually secure my toes on these boots. |

I take it you've got the EST's in Large?
I'm riding some size 9 Burton Serrows and have sized down to a medium Burton bindings this season from a large. Definatly a nicer fit, I've noticed boot shell's have reduced a fair bit over the past 5 years of so ... but binding sizes don't seem to have followed. |

Have you adjusted the toe straps, they are normally able to be pulled back, this involves pushing the strap down against the spring then pulling them back whilst maintaining the downward movement (did that make sense)

yeah the toe straps are on there shortest settings they can be.
Its looking more likley that I either ditch my new boots or new bindings and get some that fit. |

| Hmmm ... could you get away with changing the cap straps to a smaller size do ya reckon? Think they're about £25 and most places have em in (Both Subvert and TSA do em). Might be worth trying if u've already ridden them and therefore can't swap em out? |

| Burton list Medium bindings fitting an 8 - 10 boot size (which is a UK7 - 9), so you'll need to swap if you have Size L ESTs. |
