some brave words above..screw Tk etc, but can you honestly say, if for example TK had Burton, K2, Ride boards etc at 50% off, you wouldn't take a look. Yes local shops work hard for their money, but so do i. In a market of overpriced items, especially in the UK, i wouldn't loose any sleep at night buying from TK.

Yeah (sighing) I'd be tempted. And I'd probably give in. I'd be burning in snowboard hell for it, I guess...

Don't knock 'brave words' though - forums are great for them! 'Do as I say, and not what I do...' etc. (I wrote that with a flak jacket ready)

Oh no...here we go again...

I have brought all my boards, boots & Bindings from Indy's and always will over the years I have given my custom to:

SS20, Boardwise, Noah's, and of course Big Dreams amongst others, the only minor fart in my "ideals" was when I bought my SP's from Team Ski in Dorchester, however this was an off season emergency and I'd usually try not give my custom to ski shops!!

Occasionally new years stock but more often than not end/start of season sales where I'm getting 30-40% off but still buying from someone I trust and it's backed off with manufacturer warranty!!

stick TK maxx up ya grinner ;o)

buying from somewhere like 2S, Boardwise etc etc is completely worth imo as they are can sort you out with discounts as Kaos said and with proper advice from people who do the sport.... Highly doubt TK Max would have any people who know much, if anything, about snowboards and if there's a defect I reckon they wouldn't know what to do....

Are you sure your friend wasnt wearing them when s/he walked into the store? There are so few places that actually stock DC boots in the first place that I can't think about TK having them as seconds.

TK's did have DC boots in last year.

They get alot of their snowboard/skateboard/surf type stock from all over Europe. Mostly from Distrubutors and larger chain stores who either go bust (as happened with Titus in Germany a few years ago) or who just have too much really old gear knocking about.

As someone esle has mentioned earlier (and i have previously). Indy shops normally have older gear in the back that they don't put out on display as they have limited display space. If you simply ask then you can receive a glorious bounty of deals on all sorts of kit, especially out of season.

Boycott TK Maxx as they are a parasite on the whole industry. They don't give anything back in terms of sponsorship, promotion or anything.

Definitely. My friend knows about skate/snow brands. They had the BOA lacing too.

was in my local Tk maxx the other day - looking for base layers and they had an F2 board with bindings- didn`t seem that cheap compared and the style of the bindings made them look like a few season old....

they were selling DC boots last season - although only in small sizes ....
