SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SNOWBOARD SHOP!!!!
dont buy stuff thats 3 seasons old from tk-craps
its cheap for a reason, tkmaxx is just a money making company that doesn't care about snowboarding
snowboard shops help keep the uk snowboard scene alive, yes they are businesses but they are run by people who actually snowboard and have a good idea of what is good and what isnt and most will go out of there way to make sure you have the right gear and not just the most expensive! |

Nothing wrong with seeing if they got any good stuff on sale, i seen section stuff at tkmaxx too, im looking for some medium pants and its nearly impossible to find medium pants right colour in snowboard shop sales, i have bought every item i own from uk snowboard shops and i really detest paying £120 for a pair of pants, knowing they could sell for less(ie like they do when sales on)
Also my mates wife works for oxbow and old stock they dont sell to retailers go to tkmaxx, going by what your saying if we didnt buy up this old stock from tkmaxx the manufacturers could go under(if retailers didnt buy up enough stock).Catch 22 situation,i also have a baby so this year im running on a budget |

I'd say it depends on your local shops
and as preston has just lost Tantrum
that leaves AJ's or TKmax

i dont see the problem with buying stuff for fridge riding in shops like tk maxx, for instance last year they had a good batch of westbeach stuff in some of the scottish shops, and sice when has that been cr@p stuff?!?
all of the gear i wear when out riding on proper piste comes from proper snowboarding shops, but who can afford to pay ~£100 for pants and ~£200 for a jacket everytime they rip the @r5e out of them in a fridge?
would like to point out i have only ripped pants once, but they were only 3-4 months old, would have been gutted if i hadn't only paid 30 beans for them - and they were nice trousers! |

I saw some nice looking Ripcurl gear in last year, looked decent enough to me.. and to be honest wherever you get it from makes a profit, loyalty is an old idea in my opinion.. Charity starts at home.. |
