Bought the 06/07 version (size 12 in brown/green) back in November for £115.
The build quality is good, although the Speedzone lacing system (which tightens the lower and upper independently) do war quickly and I had to have the lace connecting the lower part replaced under warranty by Burton. This took just over a week, which was commendable.
The fit is perfect for people with wide feet and the combination of a soft sole, faily thick liner and additional insole makes these a very comfortable boot to walk in. They are a bit lifeless though, as the sole is so thick, and when walking you can't really feel what's going on underfoot. Also, the tight tread tends to get compacted snow stuck in it quickly so on icy slopes I regularly have to side step up the slope instead of walking normally.
The fit around the top of the foot is perfect for my feet, although I have found that the liner deforms quite easily and now mine feel a little loose lengthways after two weeks in France and several session at MK. Removing the liner immediately after use and drying it seems to get them back in shape.
I have quite thin ankles but bulky calves and I do find that the fit around thge lower leg is a bit strange. These are quite bulky boots anyway so make sure your trousers have a wide bottom.
The tightening system on the liner is okay (it's the Imprint 2 liner) but looking at my missus' Imprint 3 liners in here Emeralds, they are better simply because they stay tight and secure for longer.
I've uised several types of bindings (rentals and my own) with these boots and they ahve the scars to prove it. The rubber on the heel protects the back of the boot and the thick side panels are tough to cope with tightened bindings.
The lacing system is dead easy to use and I'm strapped in so much quicker than my mates who have standard laces on their boots. They are easy to tighten and just require a good yank to pull them tight. A good design.
Overall these boots have been good but I find them very bulky and even though the Speeedzone lacing system is good, these have too much flex for my liking because of 'give' in the liner. The rigidity along the sides of the bootsis good but this liner just lets them down.
If you're into Burton gear then these are one of the cheapest ways into the brand, apart from the retro-inspired Tributes. However, as you progress to intermediate level I don't think these boots will follow; they offer too much flex and too litttle support. |

Sweet review man,
Surprised the liner isn't great especially as its a Burton boot.
Interestingly enough, Burton is now marketing the Moto as the "Worlds most popular boot".
Recently recommended this on a page on about Burton's snowboard boots:

I've got the 09/10 moto boots in black
They have the imprint 1 liner.
As said above, the moto is a good boot for beginners but is a bit too soft once you increase your skills and get faster. The lacing system is nice and quick and stays tight without the need to tighten them during the day
A 10/10 boot for beginners and a 5/10 for intermediates |

| Thanks for these reviews. I am planning to buy those types of boots next week for my wife and kids. Right now I am busy making a couple of nursing essays and psychology essays for my class tomorrow. |
