Just read an interesting article on the current fashion for matching trou and jackets, you know it makes sense not to! Read it here...

Can't open the link :-/
Has to be said though some of the all in ones look so jokes. And they are practical you can zip the jacket to the pants and never get snow down your pants. Having said that I wouldn't wear one as you need to be a proper super-yo ouzing with style in order to pull the all in one off. |

i think the guy speaks the truth.
The funniest times i had in whistler were following snowboarders hiking the pipe who literally couldn't walk cos their pants were by their knees! Or at the end of the season when everyone went emo and started wearing skin tight jeans! |

| Here here!! The man has a point. I don't care how gangster you look. It is blatently obvious that most of the teens riding the domes are just spoilt little rich kids. Who actually needs £500 outerwear to ride indoors. My £30 ebay pants and hoody do me just fine. The key is to not fall over too often. |

Lots of truth within that but I also think that it's really up to what the rider wants to wear, what he/she wants to look like. As much as I dislike emos with their skin tight jeans I put up with them because that's what they like to wear, what they consider "cool". At the same time I don't think it's right to spend £500 on a new outfit which you're only going to wear for a couple of months, I mean how much are the designs going to change next year but I guess if you have the money to buy a new outfit every season, there's nothing really stopping you..... There's no point moaning about people who "follow the crowd" and spend rediculous amounts of money on snowboard clothing because it's not going to change anyone's mind about what they buy and how often they but it and if the article does change people's mind it's only going to be a small handful. This article is a rant towards snowboarders fashions, but why isn't it about skiiers as well? It's not as if there are no skiiers who don't follow the crowd and get a new outfit every season and there are skiiers who range from gangstas to posh peeps who wear all-in-ones (but admitidly I haven't seen any emo skiiers).
EDIT: But yes, You cant put a price on steez |

wear what you want as long as you have fun.
Better to be in somehthing you are comfortable in wearing, as it will relax you and you will ride better. |
