is there still a good chance of getting work in whistler by just turning up?

yup - that's what I did!

Also when working out in whistler is it possible to live of your wages i.e. to pay for food and accommodation without taking thousands out with you?

kinda - depends what job. Working for the mountain (Intrawest)tends to be lower paid, but you get free pass, discounts etc. Working elsewhere tends to be higher paid, and i think with most jobs you prob get free pass as well. I worked as a lifty, and I was only getting paid $11 (£5.50) an hour at the end when I had been promoted - I started on about $7 or $8, and that ain't enough to live on in Whistler!

so I am back and majorly depressed..

word of advice for those doing a season - dont live with gunt munters as they never go riding, or they go to the same place over and over again!! (when they arent slagging each other off behind their backs) and they wonder why they are sh;te at snowboarding!!!

if you can avoid those fookwits do yourself a favour - DONT COME BACK
