Hey guys i need to purchase a board im 5'10 and a bit weight about 84kgs.
Im wanting an all round board but wanting to push the freestyle side more than all mountain if that makes sense!!!
Im looking at:-
Santa Cruz Jon Kooley TT Pro Snowboard - 156
2009 Burton Custom ICS Snowboard - 156
Atomic Hatchet??? (is this more beginners though...?)
Rome Agent or Graft
my friend also said i should have a look at wild duck, what do you guys think?
Cheers in advance |

well i know that the Burton is goint to be expensive next season plus if you going for an ICS you kind of have to go for EST bindings to match which pushed the cost up more!!
have a look at the Salomon Riot 156, its a great all mountain freestyle board with a fast base and good pop, and a great price...last years was only £280!!! |

The Hatchet isn't really a beginners board, more an intermediate. I love mine but if you want a park specific board then you can probably get better...although probably for about £100 pounds more.
Try them. Simple as that, try some boards from TSA etc. They don't do the Hatchet, but you can try some of the others, and more. Also just get in with a crowd and beg a go on their boards. It's the way most people do it. |

| I know they're not on your list of boards to demo, but TSA have a good stock of the new season Bataleon boards, well worth a demo i'd say!! |

At your weight you need to size up.
SC Jon Kooley 07/08 - Pile of crap, the Nitro Swindle is twice as good
Custom ICS - It's a freestyle stick now, but you'll be better off on a true twin
Hatchet - The nuts. Get one.
Agent - Meh. 06/07 model was the best they've done
Graft - Need at least 158, but competent in the park and butters like a fat girl's ass crack
Also take a look at the K2 Darkstar, Ride DH, Rossi Decoy, NS Evo-R, and Arbor Draft |
