Remember guys&girls, the Helth Insurance Card does NOT remove the need for getting your own insurance Wink

No, but it does give you additional card to pad your wallet out with making you look considerably richer than you actually are! Wink

Aye, well recommended by all accounts - I have mine and was amazed how quickly it got sent out.

It certainly does not replace insurance, but you might find it will get a quicker response for certain types of medical treatment than when having to wait for insurance companies to sort stuff out.

Generally you'll find it pointless until you get to hospital, but usefull there:

If it hasn't been said already, I highly recommend a Carte Neige. It'll save you a fortune if you have to make a blood wagon or helicopter trip off the mountain.

You can get them at the ticket office usually. It's a little card that you pay a few euros for and it stops them from charging you a fortune to cart you off the mountain.
