This is listed as an all-mountain board but I think its more to the freeride end of the spectrum. It is super-stiff. Fantastically well built wih ABS sidewalls, sintered base, carbon tip inserts and sublimated top sheet...you really do get a sense of occasion when you pick it up. Never Summer are a small factory operating out of Denver, they have been around since the early nineties but have never produced snowboards in the number required to be world-wide best sellers. They concentrate more on low number, high quality build and are the only snowboard manufacturer in the world to offer a three year warranty against defects. I am massively looking forward to riding this on a mountain and I think it would be awesome in powder, but I have to say that for UK indoor slopes I don't think its the right kind of board. Its just to fast and stiff for a freestyle toy, I struggle to flex the board to butter or ollie...but it may just be that I haven't got used to it yet (only been out on it twice as of writing this). Its massively controllable however and you can make pretty quick and tight turns despite it being a fairly wide board...I take size 13 boots and it accomodates me no problem. Build quality is as I said absolutely incredible, you feel like there is no way you could damage it and could just ride over anything that gets in your way. Skiers included. Smile I paid £365 for mine and consider it good value. Boards with a similar technical spec are retailing for around the same and more in some cases.

oh yes, fantastical board

managed to grab an absolute bargain and got an 05/06 159 model for £190. deadly cheap. have been out for two weeks on it so far
solid board, and feels solid like a tank on ice and through slush but still wonderfully smooth on the piste and flows in the powder.
am hideously chuffed with my purchase...
