| Can you still take on camreas and mp3 players in hand luggage or are they scared you're going to plug them into your bottle of Lucozade, mix it with some complimentary peanuts and make a TATP bomb? |

And I am sure you would rather be rushed through with no checks at all and get blown up before you get to your destination too eh Mikee??????
Talk about cynical!
Edit:
Yeah you can still take on MP3 players etc. I took mine to thailand and wasnt asked to take it out my bag. |

Cool that's a relief... couldnt do without the tunes!
BTW - the whole liquids thing is a total lie... top chemists, scientists, proffessors etc have all came out and said TATP is extremely difficult to produce in perfect lab conditions by trained experts with years of experience... nevermind in a aeroplane toilet by someone with only a basic understanding of mixing chemicals, if that. Amongst other things, you would need a lab standard air extraction unit as otherwise you'd gas yourself unconcious before you even completed 1/2 the mixture.
It's just scaremongering & above all false justification for stricter security.
They create the problem - Get a reaction out of the people - Then step in with the preconceived solution.
And no, I'm not some paranoid conspiracy theorist! This is all fact.
Anyway, rant over... I'll go back to starting at the Avoriaz webcam now |

Fact is that it could happen any time any place any where - take the London tube bombings..... If we thought about it enough none of us would ever leave the house! |

True... but I refuse to live my life in fear of bad things happening.
If it's going to happen it's going to happen. Scaring the population isnt going to achieve anything other than fear, panic and alram... but I suppose when the population are in that state they're more likely to give up their lfreedoms and liberties for a false sense of security (read: control).
Anyway, more time should be spent trying to solve the problems that cause people to blow stuff up rather than treating the rest of the population like terrorists.
The UK is fast becoming a police state where we're all guilty until proven innocent.
I could on about this for days but this isnt really the place so I'll zip it.
Adios |

I doubt that would happen daisy kitten but given the choice yeah I would rather get rushed through with no checks (my personal preference)....
And if I I got blown up b4 I reached my destination then so be it. Thats a risk I'll happily take and also a risk which to a certain degree, we all take which is why we still go on holidays.
Cynical....probably.... |

They took away my tequila and lemonade and my toothpaste, the rotters.
It does create a handy market for overpriced bottles of water in departure and on the plane though so I'd imagine it's here to stay.
A stuffed full Heli-Pro backpack is within hand-luggage size limits btw, just don't fill it with sharp sticks and liquids. |
