Burton Hails (Cost: £169.99 Year: 2006/7)
I've never had a pair of comfortable boots in my 11 years of rding. My feet always hurt. In fact the most comfortable boots I ever had were a pair of second hand Northwaves that were pretty slack. I've also had Burton Hails before (probably about 3 years ago)
I've tried a few Burtons and I'm currently riding in 32 Lashed (both brands I can get cheap).
On a tip from Gary Greenshields, who said that Hails are now a much wider fit, I've just blagged a pair of Burton Hails and have been wearing them around the house. The Burton IONs I tried on a few weeks ago were making my feet ache just standing in the shop! These Hails have a very different fit and feel very comfortable.
Okay, I still need to get them heat moulded and haven't yet ridden in them, but I'm really hoping my freaky feet have finally found their [apologies in advance] soul mates.
I just thought I'd pass that on for anybody else with wide feet. |

I have the opposite prob, narrow feet (flat too), but salomon - are the only things that fit me- tried every brand , atomic, vans, northwave, 32 burton, mostly bad esp vans encore. DC were ok , but salomon good.

I've got wide feet and tried last seasons hails and the toe area especially was really tight on me and was uncomfortable. This seasons hails must be a fair bit wider. Only ones that fitted me were nothwave decade superlace but they were out of stock and salomon dialogue wide which I went for.

Well I just got the new Hails and absolutely loving them!! OK, just been wearing them round the house every day so far, pretending it's not long to the new season, but gonna take em on the dry slope this afty for a real test. One of the guys at Subvert gave me a tip to not do the last crossover before the hooks too tight and it makes them so much comfier when u do that. I rode moto's last year and these things just feel a million miles away!

I hate my feet, can never find any shoes that fit properly just too damn wide, plus I have short legs so most snow shows are too high! I'm going to try these Burton hails out, hopefully they will be right for me.

The trick is to try lots of different boots on and get the ones that fit your feet best, don't ever go by other peoples recommendations.

What Charlie said, no way of telling what will suit you no matter how good the review is.
Having said that, if you have wide feet then maybe try what Dunx recommends or 32's and especially Northwave boots as they both tend to come up wider than others. I have short but wide feet and those two are the only brands that ever suit me, never tried the Hails though......
Ps why is the word high in your post linked to an online show shop?
