well i sadi it on the last thread about TKMAXX and i'll say it again.....TK Maxx are Evil!!!!!
they buy previous seasons stock dirt cheap and sell it dirt cheap....they put local shops out of bussiness then buy there stock for a fraction of the price.
but if you have a problem with the stuff you buy there then you want get a brand new replacement jacket, you'll just get the cash back and if they dont have any more cheap jackets in stokk then you'll have to pay more for one........so just get stuff from your local snowboard shop...and get the support from the guy and girls in the industry who know what there talking about not some dude who works for miminum wage in tkmaxx who know nothing about what 5kmms/5kgms means on the label!!! |

You are aware that...money does not grow on trees...
The smaller shops in the industry are the places with some of the highest prices. If they are ready to make their prices more competative then, of course...I'd rather buy from a snowsports shop and keep the money in the industry...
But if you gave me the choice of buying a pair of trousers for 120 quid, and buying an equally good pair of trousers for 35...then, I'm sorry...but there's no question there of which one i'm going to buy.
Finches, in south london, is one of the best snowsports shop i've ever been to. It's family run, very welcoming and the products are fantastic...
But would I buy clothes there? |

| I find I dont have a choice either - i know of about five TKMaxx stores which are quite local - and no board shops unless i got into London town and then prices are stupid! |

excuse me rob: I'm missing something, tk max is not evil small board shops are doing pretty well arn't they? the ski/board industry is huger than ever right now, why cant tk max take a slice, you know exactly where you stand with all of tk max stuff, most of it is pretty god dam cheap cos its lasts year and stacked high and sold cheap in badly lit shops not that dont spend a penny on interior design so YOu get a cheaper product. Granted- you have to sive through a lot of sh1t to find a good item and it's worth the effort for the treasure your find, i got good quality Helly Hanson jacket for 60 quid, tar thank you very much. Quite often they don't have your size but who gives a sh1t go to another shop. Anyway, the money i save on not spending 50 quid on gloves or/ 200 on a jacket , ill probably spend in a family board shop on actual equipment. So rob surely your be happy than snowboarding is becoming slightly more affordable for people not as commited as us to our faveourite pas time, it's got to be a wake up call for all the big manufacturers too, I cant see anyreason why tkmax are evil, I think you confused it with starbucks!
AND - where does tk max often get its kit from, yep - snowboard shops that cant sell their overpriced jackets! |
