| I hate drags - there seems to be a lot more drags than chairs noted across French resorts, how easy is it to get around Three Valleys whilst avoiding drags? thanks in advance |

I was there for two weeks and think I only went on a couple the whole time. Was staying in 1650 and went over to towards 1850 and VT most day.
Sorry, just remembered I went on the one next to the park in 1850 loads of times, but it was so flat it was a non-event. |

| The chairlift from the la tania bowl to col de la loz frequently breaks down cos its old and in a really exposed spot and the only alternative is a pretty evil draglift so if that lift is broken, dont go down there! Other than that there are very few drags and that which there are you can usually avoid by using chairlifts anyway. |

Just learn how to ride them and don't limit yourself when you go to a resort |

I'm with Stevie on this! When I was working in Whistler on the lifts, I often worked on the T-bars, and because no one used to like to ride T-bars there were awesome little runs that no one would ever use, so we would have run after run of powder because no one would use drag lifts!
They're not too bad when you get used to them. I'd recommend getting to Scotland and riding a few at Glencoe and Glenshee, then you'll be ready to face anything the rest of the world can throw at you! |

My first trip was to Yllas in Lapland. 29 lifts - 27 of them drag, and the chairlift wasn't working! When there's no alternative you just get on with it.
I've never avoided them because of this and as others have said, you can find some quiet runs on busy days, but also you can sometimes use them to bypass chairlift queues. |

I don't find the ones at Glengoe or Glenshee that bad infact they are quite good fun where as the M1 Poma at Cairngorm, ride that and you can ride anything , I've still not managed to master that |

| Cheers for the responses - probably the best advice is 'man up' and get used to them! |
