Ok... so I'm 5'6.5" and weigh 59/60kg. I have a 150cm mountain/stiff freestyle board and a coupla 148cm dome/soft freestyle boards. I bought these when I weighed a bit more, so now I'm far from the top end of the weight scales of these. I've seen a 143cm soft dome board that I quite fancy having a play with - I'm in the recommended weight category for it (as in right at the top) - question is - will it be fun for an hour, but then after that I'll think it's too short and I'll want something bigger and just go back to my 148 and never use it? Or will it be super fun to have a board this short?

Thanks!

Hi mate, I'm around 60KG and 5ft 6 also

I've been riding the same 146 board for 6 years now and do fine, even in extremely deep powder it's brilliant and extremely fun

I would pop the "as long as you're going quick enough" line, but even at medium speeds it still floats fine

Can't comment on freestyle/dome stuff though as I tend to focus just on offpiste & powder

Thanks for your reply! I reckon if you're about the same as me and ride a 146 mountain then a 143 park should be fine Smile reckon i need to do a lil bit more homework and see if it'll fit with my stupidly wide stance!

Cheers!

People often forget that the shorter the board the narrower the stance it has, all depends how wide you like to ride.
