Just tried the discount code for westbeach and the discount applied at checkout is 14.2% instead of 40% advertised. Have I got something wrong?

Isn't it because everything is already reduced 30%? So you're getting 40% instead of 30%?

So your t-shirt was originally £28 but then had 30% knocked off to make it £20, but with 40% knocked off is £17.50. (give or take the odd penny due to exchange rates etc...)

I thought that was the case at first, but some items on the site show a 30% off price and some don't, but the code discount is always the same, so if you choose an item that does not have the 30% reduction, once you put in the code you only get approx 10% off. Don't get me wrong, any extra discount is great, but it's not all 40% as stated.

This isn't a SCUK discount, but available to anybody. You'll have to take it up with them direct.

I just checked into this.

THEIR SALE IS ON OUTERWEAR - CHECK THE BANNER ON THE HOME PAGE.

The coupon code we all got does apply 14.2% against the 30% off price which attains an effective discount off of the retail price of 40%.

We get 40% OFF THE RETAIL PRICE - simples.

The coupon will apply a 14.2% discount on non sale items - tee shirts don't appear to be in the sale. I just re-read their email and it could be written clearer....but all the info is there - 40% off on outerwear.

Hopefully that will clear it all up.
