A very badly broken ankle means I need a supportive boot that will allow me to release pressure from the front of my ankle when doing the boots up. I have only been to the snowdome to try boots on (so far) and the Vans Cirro were head and shoulders above all others there for comfort, and the ability to release pressure in the right areas.
I only freeride, and havent ridden for 13yrs, but was riding to a good standard when I stopped.
Traditionally I rode with Burton eqpt.
Any advice on other potential boots would be appreciated.

I also need to consider bindings with the same ability to support, whilst providing a wide, area of support around the front of my ankle.

The injured ankle is my front foot, and the area that gives me grief is the front inside of the joint.

Any advice is very much appreciated
Thanks

TBH it sounds like youve already found a boot you love. Im guessing you need something that will allow you to adjust tension in the boot between zones so i guess any of the burton boots with zonal Lacing. The ruler is a good stiff boot. I have a pair from 3 seasons ago and there still going strong

I've got this seasons Cirros, never liked Boas before but the focus boa system works a treat. Cranked up tight and with the red set of j bars in they are a stiff boot-rated about 8/10, while they are never going to be a jib boot you can adjust them in seconds for a looser more freestyle feel if needed while still keeping your foot and ankle firmly held in place. The Cirros were a replacement for 3 year old Burton Rulers which were great boots as well, I tried on this years model and it's a good boot, good lacing system and quick to adjust but not as stiff as the Cirros which just fitted better in the end.
