Board - 150-155cm
Bindings - Preferably flow M/L
Boots - size 6-7, not 32's as they're not comfy, I have wide calves and feet so any help with makes woud also be very helpful.
I tried on a pair of size 6 Vans and they were comfy and 6.5 Soloman's and they were comfy. Or that might have been the other way around? But the 6.5 32's dug into the back of my calf and meant I had to really bend my legs.
I've been up Glencoe for the day so I know that flow bindings are ideal 'cause they're quick to get on and off and I'll be doing that a lot.
I've booked a holiday in Tignes for 6th March so I really need to get myself sorted soon. |

boots are key - each make/model fits differently (as you've noticed with 32's and your feet). Know it's not the cheapest option but you really need to go somewhere in person and get some from a local shop (no idea where you are as you've not said) - Snow & Rock, TSA, Subvert, etc. Get boots sorted 1st then you have an idea how much cash you've got left for boad & bindings...
Why that size board? 150-155 is quite long for a beginner lass (which I'm guessing you are with a name Rhona), you sure? The size is linked to your weight, know it's a rude question, but without saying that (or a rough aprox) no-one can suggest the correct size for you.
What type of board? You've said you're going on holiday, but what type of riding you wanting to do? stick to the piste and use it only on holiday, or after something for a local dome (and/or possibly try jumps/rails/etc)?
Flows, sure they're easy, but generally regarded a nightmare in powder and quite heavy in comparison to traditional bindings - don't rule out a decent normal binding just for 5 seconds bending over |

Thanks for your help.
I weight 10 stone and I知 5ft 6.
I used Flow up on Glencoe and they were fine. 5 seconds bending over my bum! I spent most of the day bent over either on my bum or getting up from being on my bum. Ha ha.
I can now stand up no bother and go from side to side on by back heel. Going to Xscape for a lesson on Friday so I can learn to go on my toe edge.
I値l hopefully be going to Xscape a fair bit when I get home because I want to get good.
I might buy a new pair of boots but I知 gonna be spending like 」150 on a board and bindings and spending another 」150 on boots is just gonna skin me, plus I値l need to buy gloves, goggles, socks etc.
I知 in Glasgow by the way! |

Really hope they're alright for you.
I ordered my boots over the internet and had to send the first pair back. I got lucky with the second, but I won't be doing it again, will be getting my backside to a few shops and trying on as many as possible and sod the money, comfort is everything!
(Though, at that price at least you won't lose out on a lot if you decide they're not for you!) |

I know that atm you're sitting down and taking time with bindings but won't be long before you're able to strap up quickly - admit not as fast as flows tho... Just feel you're possibly ruling out good options.
board - from what i can tell you want about 150 (could go down a little if you're going to be in a dome most of the time), but think a 155 is a little too long - hell, i ride a 156 and 155 rocker and I'm 14 stone. Once you're going off-piste and playing with powder you might want something longer, but until then, why make more work for yourself riding a large board?
no idea what your budget is but spotted this on ebay, looks a bargain and should last you a good while: Atomic Fallen Angel
(but, no doubt is still a shock at the price...) |

Oh no! Don't say that. I tried on a pair in TSA and they were dead comfy.
Thanks all you guys for helping me out.
Can I ask a question? My other half says I need to take a hold all instead of a suitcase or I'll get slagged, is this true? |
