Marcin,
Its called a 'questionairre' not a questionary. Just thought id let you know since youve also made this mistake on the actual site. Wouldnt want you missing out on participant because of a spelling mistake. |

Auslander..meaning foreigner in german........yes
anyway the point is that if you wrote a questionary auf german, it would probably have spelling and gramatical errors in as well (in fact if i wrote an english one it would )
the questionnaire is riddled with them but everyone understands what it means so who gives a poop...
as half of this forum is littered with txtspk which i h8, 2 much 2 ask sum1 to change a little bit of poor english is a bit of a cheek |

Branny dont be so feckin arrogant mate!
I was helping the guy out since he is clearly German speaking. Evidently he wasnt aware it was a spelling mistake, nor would he know unless someone pointed it out to him. As i quite clearly stated i was letting him know so that he could change it if he wanted to.
Was i criticising him, or calling him stupid? Did i ask or tell him to change it?
NO!
Get off you high horse pal. Evidently i like to try and help people, wheras it would appear your default mode is one of criticism. |

WTF... frikin' bite me!!
all i was stating is that does it really matter as most peoples english questionnaire are riddled with grammatical and spelling errors as are the forums.. it all made sense and it doesn't matter
and yes i've spent 2000 odd posts being negative.. go figure... if your idea of helping people is to tell them they've made mistakes crack on..although surely that's being negative.... in my opinion i was helping, saying that no one (except you) really gives a sh1t that his english isn't perfect |

In my experience all my German family and friends are actually VERY interested in learning English correctly and actually greatly appreciate pointers on how to improve. Hence most of them speak English without an accent, and with better grammar AND spelling than most English people i encounter.
Since you are so righteous, you spend a lot of time and effort telling people (and me in this case) that its wrong to be helpful.
Ah! Yes! If indeed we all spent more time criticising others, wasting time telling people not to help others, the world would be such a better place!
Strange philosophy you have Branny. |

Ahhhh Munklefish I know some people like to be uber-pedantic but I think you'll find that Questionary is a legitimate word, it's the 'questionary method' that is a form of psychological investigation. So calling it a questionary is common amongst those who use this format regularly.
Just thought you might wanna get the right info before picking fights over the internet. |

The only people picking fights are those having a go at me for trying to be helpful by letting the orginal poster know his translation was 'potentially wrong.
My German is ok, but i'd much prefer people to let me know if i was saying something wrong. Its the only way im going to learn the language properly(whether thats German or English, or even French or Spanish) |

honestly i can't be arsed with your pathetic line of argument..
i wasn't being righteous, i was telling the OP that it didn't really matter everyone got the jist..
stop being a pedantic little prick and go and use your 2 science degrees for something frikin useful rather than pointing out peoples grammatical errors..frikin' chump |

Dude you seem to have totally missed the point again....you were WRONG to call the dude out....he spelt the word correctly....now you're saying "if" it's true??? Like I might have some how been in error myself when I have used these tests myself. What does science have to do with psychology out of interest?
A little humility goes a long way fella...maybe apologising to the Original Poster, maybe apologising to Branny for jumping down his throat?? This forum going nuts of late!!!! |
