Hey trying to get ideas for January holiday snowboarding somewhere not too far away with flights from Scotland.

But after being to Borovets in Bulgaria which has loads of cheap beer, bowling and crazy reps to going to Norway which had the best snow conditions ever yet nothing to do when the lifts closed...

Is there a resort anyone can suggest which will have all ace snow, cheap beer, loads to do but not be in Bulgaria as i want to go somewhere new..?

well there is no resort that is garenteed great snow....its just the kucj of the draw!

a resort may have no snow for week before you get there and the day you leave it might dump...or you could be lucks and get snow every day your there, its just the chance you take!

as for cheap beer, the esten european contries are the place tp be, all the big resorts that have been open for years know that they have a captive audience and set their prices accordingly,
Andorra is good fo tax free shop for cheap beer to drink in your hotel but the pubs are average resort prices.

if you want cheap prices try the lesser known resorts in italy they have quite cheap prices

I also recommend Morzine...

Flights with Easy Jet from Glasgow and Edinburgh to Geneva (flights are cheap at the mo, but will go waaaaay up nearer the time!)..

From Geneva only an hour and 10min drive...and soooo much to do, with great bars and restaurants....honestly you will have an ACE holiday!..

You will find it difficult to get flights to a lot of other airports from Scotland, (as i live in Glasgow)....geneva is one of the few...

Check out the website below, these guys offer great holidays at fantabulous prices!...

hmm i'd stay away from andorra if u want guaranteed snow, its had a pretty bad run the past 2seasons,but the night life is meant to rock. and as for robsters comment bout the italian resorts being cheap????...well thats not the case anymore,i was in livigno last season and despite all the stories i'd heard bout it being cheap it wasnt! in the bars you wouldnt find a beer for less than 4euros(which at the current exchange rate worked out at around £3.35 a pint, which is more than i pay back here in edinburgh for a pint) and that was for local beer, but in the shops it was mega cheap,so we just got tanked up before we left the apt, lol. places such as slovenia or slovakia might be worth a look man?
i know what u mean bout bulgaria,i was in bansko in 07 and it rocked, had a huge dump of snow the night we arrived so was welcomed with 3ft of pow on my 1st day,and then there was the beer!!!!... 40p a pint was my average pint, most expensive i payed was £1.30 and that was in a club!!
