Random question i know... But someone peered over my shoulder at work yesterday and randomly asked me!
Obviously I was very indignant and defended the site, But I noticed that the Copyright at the bottom of the page is from 1997, and after a quick search on Wikipedia found that was the year that French Connection went FCUK!
Coincidence!? |

When "the boys" took ownership of TheBoarder we did discuss various names and Snowboard Club UK did win out over some of the others because of SCUK's likeness to FCUK. Having said that, ours is better as you can't easily pronounce "fcuk"! I do call the site "scuk" though. Many I know call ist "S.C.U.K".
Coincidentally, I registered the www.scuk.me domain today! I also managed to get hold of www.kate.me and www.tom.me for the kids. A bit gutted that both www.dunx.me and www.duncan.me had already gone! www.spank.me was still available out there for any Mosely fans |

Things like "Snowboard Club GB", but we couldn't have that as that's "official" and has to be sanctioned. Certainly "TheBoarder" was on the list as was "DunxsMightyHallOfValhalla". That one didn't get any votes |
