It makes it so much harder to get your stuff when you need it. A vac pack bag you can just slice open with a knife, a block of ice is not so easy. |

How did you work that out!!! haha but yeah you are right.
2426635-3 = channel-3.
It's a kind of alias that I use when I do things that are around the same lines but not directly connected. General things.
But seeming how it's all out now I'll give you folks the low down.
I've been working on releasing this brand for around 6/7 months now. Just kind of at the final stages now. Sorting the packaging and finalizing all designs ready for launch. Thats why the original questions were based around your thoughts on packaging.
So "channel-3" or "c-3" is a Plymouth lifestyle clothing design company with roots within the snowboarding and skateboaring cultures and a strong focus on design. It something for people who want a little more and are getting tired of the average. It is a lifestyle brand that will keep grounded around it's roots.
Planning to launch in a few months or less. Online shop. Direct to consumer sales. Launch weekend. Discounts, offers etc, maybe a party. Just good times.
Launching the brand with 3 t-shirt designs. 3c-3's. Then expanding the range introducing things along the lines of bandanas, sweatshirts, jackets, hats, endless ideas but thats for the future.
Just keep a look out and I hope you all like the designs and get stoked on the brand lifestyle and morals. It's all exciting stuff.
I'm thinking about wacking out some SCUK discounts around launch seeming you've all been real good and helpful.
Thanks for all the support, it's all much appreciated.
I'll keep you posted.
Thanks guys!

p.s. no designs are 100% final yet. Things have changed a lot from the myspace designs.
It's all up in the air so just wait for launch. Sweet.
Take it easy.

yeah, once Trendkiller had pointed it out it was pretty easy to figure out where your name came from. Either that or people can start calling me rainman...
Always on the lookout for new Ts so will check you out when your up and running.
On the note of the original post, not too much packaging (plastic bags etc). Keep it simple with paper based products that can be chucked in the recycling. I once ordered a neoprene laptop sleeve that got delivered in a plastic bag, wrapped in bubble wrap in a box. What were they expecting to happen to it, it's neoprene for gods sake!
Also make sure it fits through the letter box. I work, that's how I can afford to buy things but that also means that I'm not going to be in at 11 (or whenever it is that our postman comes), why don't companies seem to realise that.
Anyway, with that off my chest (I should have posted that in the 'things that piss me off' thread), good luck with it all, keep us posted |

Maybe a suggestion, but from experience youve got the issue if it is doesnt arrive, or the twat that tells you it didnt arrive, when its actually hung in his wardrobe,
I'm never right according to my mrs so dont take my word for it, but from experience I think it would be less hassle for everyone if you still jiffy bagged it so its a small package and sent it recorded royal mail, but checked before posting out so you can deliver it to a work place or on a convenient day.
Trust me ive had hassles with bits and it snowballs into a nightmare quickly, but a quick email to say can you take it on this day, or on your order form make it so when you order you can say Saturdays home, Mon to Friday to my work adress which is ........................
Sounds like a good thing going on anyway, so hope it all work out |

Yeah, I guess that all makes sense, especially form a retailers point of view. It can still be a pain in the arse though but that's an issue of Royal mail living in the dark ages rather than anythng else IMO.
What onelove says sounds good if you really have to send it recorded, but I still prefer it to be sitting on my doormat when I get home (cue change of mind the moment something doesn't turn up and I have issues with the sender ) |
