Shameless self-promotion, yes. Couldn't see any forum rules/etc about this sort of thing so game on, eh...?
Two years in the making, www.boax.co.uk is now online providing high quality handmade headwear. Get in now before winter hits and I'm swamped with orders. Pompoms, visors, earflaps, tassels, you name it. You pick your pattern and colours, I'll take care of the rest.

| There nice and if i had some money i would order one. One question though if i was to give my exact head size then would the hat be made to this size or would it be say a cm bigger to allow for more comfort? |

For the "fitted" style hats I make them to fit the size of your head comfortably but not tight. The loose style is slightly bigger and longer (you have to wear it tilted back slightly) and the baggy style is nice and roomy. I'm pretty sure if you just put your actual measurment down you'll be happy with the fit. If you really want extra room then please don't add on centimetres. Put your actual measurement and write a note for me to err on the big side.

crocheting is a tough way to make money.
and the orders will back up realy quick.
so hope your quick.
they do look like some of the best hand crochets i have seen hell of a lot better than mine.
stiches look tight and clean.
do you count every stitch to make different sizes/ so even stitches. |

Exactly. I know the stitch counts for each size.
Yeah it's just a little side thing just now. Only need enough orders to keep me doing 3-4 a week to keep me going. |

| I've tried a LOT of combinations of wool and hook size and two strands of DK with a 5mm has worked out best. Triples end up a bit too chunky I think. |

i like.....in fact just ordered two, hope they'll be sat at the office waiting for me when i get back to the UK at the end of the month...
I've been tempted to teach myself...but TBH really can't be arsed/too lazy/too busy..so a sensible priced fully customised option is excellent...good luck with the venture bambam  |

| Not wool, it's acrylic yarn. I don't find it itchy at all and plenty warm. |
