I had the board in a day on friday 9th may....got I am still recovering from the aches of using muscles I have never used before but what an absoulty quality day! The instructors are top and very helpful....I have unfortunalty got to complete the course by doing the finisher but it all helps at the end of the day.
I only struggled linking the turns from heelside to toe side...but as they say practise makes perfect....
Oh and one good suggestion ensure that you have ass protection....I was so tankful for mine as people were suffering alot on Friday! |

| Dear god, I did Board in a Day a couple of months ago and I agree totally - I don't think I've ever ached so much in my life. Same as you, struggled on the last bits... a lot of that I think is due to just how much you're aching and how exhausted you are by then. Went back and did Level 4 again with no probs.... so much easier when you don't just wanna lie down in the snow and go to sleep x)_ |

I just did it at MK yesterday. What an excellent day! The instructor (Paul) was spot on and I can't recommend the day enough. I'm now ready to hit the main slope and you get a free hour of recreational boarding too.
The only down side is that I now hurt like a mofo!!!! All over!! But as they say, no pain, no gain.
Oh and I got a parking ticket which was a bit naughty. When I got there I parked in the purple bays (Council), I paid until 4:15pm but when I got to the main desk I was given a day pass for the carpark. As I knew the day was going to be a bit longer than 4:15pm I went back to my car and put the day pass on my dashboard (covering the original paid for ticket) because I thought it would save me going back at 4 and buying another ticket. Got back to my car at the end of the day, £40 parking ticket which was issued at 9:30am, 15 mins after I left the car. It seems that the day voucher issued by snozone isn't valid for those bays even though they're cheaper to park in than the other bays. I don't know if I can dispute it, I still have the paid for ticket but I doubt they'll let me off.
Anyone else had any probs like this with parking? |

It's a common mistake at MK. There's a strip of bays that belong the council, marked purple, and the rest belong to Xscape and marked red. Tickets for one are not valid for the other.
Back when the council implemented paid parking a few years ago, I got caught out buying a ticket from a machine next to the bay I was using - only to find out it wasn't for the bay. It's better marked now, but still easy to do. You can try and contest it with the council, but not met anyone who has succeeded yet. |
