Equipment and Media - TK Maxx 10/11 Season

Was in our local TK Maxx today and they have started putting out the outerwear on the racks. The store in Norwich is full of last seasons Westbeach, overpriced though, but well stocked.

Noticed a few Westbeach hats in my local store, no ski wear as yet tho.

My local TK is selling 09/10 Westbeach jackets/beanies at 1/2 price they were on Westbeach site.

Don't diss TK Maxx - If you have the time do the crime! Found many a great deal in there for example Fenchurch hoodies for £20 instead of £50 and its great for nice fitting shirts.

If anyone comes across an 09/10 Ridge Runner in black/yellow in medium buy it for me and I'll wire across the money! Smile

Do you mean the black/white with yellow zips/laces...cos I'm sure that's the one I saw in my local TKM yesterday afternoon...and it was def. a Medium as I told my mate about it.

TK maxx is great - i saw a few of last seasons westbeach, santa cruz and quicksilver hoodies in there for £20 rather than £50 - if you have the energy to go through every item, its a really good place to pick up really good clothes at a more sensible price for sure

some people go into TK Maxx, buy a sh1t load of stuff and then email the original companies saying they they dont have the recipt and all that and get a refund - now that, as 'thief' said, is the sort of thing reserved for those who use public transport
DereksDontRun - Sep 05, 2010 - 11:44 AM
Post subject: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: TK Maxx 10/11 Season
TK Maxx is great for beginners and ppl shopping for their 1st holiday (basically those unsure if they'll like the sport and keep it up, so don't want to pay top dollar for latest season gear). If it helps ppl get into our beloved sport then great.

But, can understand the argument that you should support your local (independent) stores, as these are part of the local snow community. Saying that, have I ever bought from TK Maxx or an online shop which was cheaper than my local, sure...

Not in medium. I can get a Large but its far too big. Medum is sold out everywhere I've tried Westbeach direct and pretty much all major retailers.

Just too a quick visit to the two TK Maxx stores in Cov, a couple of beanies and a couple of jackets is random sizes.

Just took a quick tour of the one in Manc and am on the way to the one at the Trafford centre on the way to a BBQ, if I see a medium black ridge runner I'll bag it for you! Only the blue and green one in the one in the city centre, along with a few maverick, sub 79 and morrisey jackets in case anyone was in the look out for those!

Where should I have bought it from then? I did contact a pile of offline and online retailers, as well as Westbeach direct. It was fortunate that they filtered into TK's grasp in the end and that someone was kind enough to go buy it for a complete stranger without hesitation.

Mate you'll have a job, Broadmarsh one shut down months back. It was only there at the same time as the Viccy Centre one as Westfield are a bunch of lying cockbags and offered them dirt cheap rent to keep that branch open. Half of Broadmarsh is now plaster boarded up...now they just need to demolish the place and build something decent there.

I went in the Hammersmith branch at the weekend as i was walking past and the Westbeach jackets were £79.99, more than they have been in the Westbeach shop for months now.

TK maxx is great if your a beginner-intermediate and dont want to spend a fortune (i.e. me!).

I got some Trespass Railin waterproof snowboard pants for £20, assumed they were cheapo ones but found them to be top notch actually. were originally £65 on the trespass website (http://www.trespass.co.uk/product/mens-clothing-1/mens-outerwear-1/snowsports-pants-2/railin-MABTSKC20005)

also got a mega bargain on a jacket. Got a Nike ACG Stormfit snowboard jacket, one of the super warm goose down ones with snow belt and mp3 pocket, ski pass pocket etc , for £70 down from £250!

It's an awesome jacket and even a few friends i went away with who have been boarding for years couldnt believe i'd got it in a tk maxx.

it's worth a dig in the maxx!
